September is the perfect month for fly fishing on the Nantahala River. The Nantahala River will be running 24/7 and levels will be perfect for fishing from our drift boat or raft. Cooler days and less rafting pressure make for enjoyable days of fishing for Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout.
September and October is also prime time to book a fishing day on the French Broad, fly fishing or spin fishing for Small Mouth Bass and the occasional Musky. This can be explosive action on the water.
The "Delayed Harvest" sections of the Tuckaseegee and Nantahala open in October. These sections provide great fly fishing opportunities for all three species of trout. Rafting releases for the main stem of the Nantahala River will end a month early, on October 5 this year, giving a unique opportunity to wade fish the Nantahala River for the entire fall season. This is a great time to possibly hook into one of the River's huge Brown Trout.
New for this fall! Our special two day weekend beginning fly fishing courses for this fall.

Fly Fishing Options include guided drfit boat, guided oar-rig, stream side and wet wading
